The business seminar at the Polish Embassy in Tokyo is organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. Its goal is to establish new contacts and build partnerships between Poland and Japan in the medical and pharma sectors. These industries are growing, driven by Polish expertise in diagnostic devices, biologics, and healthcare solutions. The seminar will include a panel discussion and pitches from participating companies. International networking will follow the official portion.

According to data from the International Trade Center (ICT), the share of medical and pharma products in Polish exports to Japan rose from 1.8% to 4.5% between 2015 and 2023. These products accounted for approximately 2.5% of Polish imports from Japan in 2023. Since 2020, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) has supported the implementation of 66 Japanese projects with a total value of EUR 2.5 billion.
