Tadeusz Pietrucha
Head of the Department of Medical Biotechnology at the Medical University of Łódź
tadeusz.pietrucha@umed.lodz.plIn 1998, he founded the first Polish biotech web portal dedicated to biotechnology, Biotechnologia.pl. He is the originator of BioForum (www.cebioforum.com) – Central European Forum of Biotechnology and Innovative Bioeconomy. He received the following postgraduate education: Master of Science in Science and Technology Commercialization at the University of Łódź and Texas University of Austin and Strategic Business Planning for the Development of Enterprises in the European Environment at the Warsaw School of Economics.He is co-founder of the following biotech companies: Bio-tech Consulting (1997); Mabion Inc. (2007); Bio-Tech Media Ltd. (2012); CODE Center of Personalized Medicine Ltd. (2014); and Phagis Ltd. (2015). He is the author and co-author of 70 research papers, several review articles, patents, and scientific essays. His areas of expertise include molecular (personalized) medicine and the commercialization of biotechnology R&D projects. He was a member of the National Development Council at the Polish President’s Office.
